The right to restriction of processing

The data subject has the right to request the data controller to restrict the data processing if any of the following applies: the data subject disputes the accuracy of the personal data, in this case the limitation applies for a period of time allowing the data controller to verify the accuracy of the personal data; the data processing is unlawful and the data subject objects the deletion of the data, and instead reuqire the restriction of their use; the controller no longer needs the personal data for the purposes of the processing, but they are required by the data subject for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims; or the data subject has objected to processing pursuant to Article 21 (1) pending the verification whether the legitimate grounds of the controller override those of the data subject.
